  1. With deepest condolences to Debbie Martell I am so very grateful for you and your family.
I grew up in Madison with Mr and Mrs Martell. I am a stage III Cancer survivor. .
It was Mr Martell’s influence which inspired my love of music and supporting new artists, that I do my show radio, The Independent Stage and because of him and Mrs Martell starting the TJ Martell Foundation in the name of his son who passed away from cancer, I am thankful for their support in the cancer community as a survivor.
Thank you Mr Martell and family for all you have done for musical artists and for those of us in the cancer community we are all forever grateful.

  2. Tony and Vickie were our neighbors on Garfield Avenue in Madison. We were the ONLY black family on the street and in that section of town. They were, hands down, the most wonderful neighbors we ever had…just a beautiful family. When Vickie died, at the wake, Tony grabbed my hand and said, “you are a singer.” I had to smile because my family is a caribbean family. I chose law school and then getting my PhD over what I truly love, my music. Both Tony and Vickie knew that, and for him to say that to me at the most overwhelming hour in his own personal life, that brought tears to my eyes.

The Martells will live in my heart forever as my neighbors, friends and true believers in the essence of what makes love, love…

    Dr. Ramona Brockett…neighbor and friend

  3. Tony Martell… A very special human being a true giver! He will be missed but not forgotten ! R I P.. Tony will live on forever through his contribution to music and his Foundation that helps many many people. I had the honor to have worked with him at “Epic/CBS and the Associated”, Labels what a Heart of Gold.

  4. Tony was a dear friend of my Mothers; I will always remember his warmth and his effervescence. He was a special soul who did lots of good on this earth. He will be sorely missed, but will continue to inspire us, and live on in our hearts and our actions.

  5. Even among great philanthropists, Tony stood out as exceptional. His commitment and passion were inspiring and shaped my life and the lives and countless others. He will be missed.
